You can test-own any car for a full 7 days. For example, if you pick up the car on a Monday at 11AM, it will be due for return the following Monday at 11AM.
There is a test-own fee* starting from $650, depending on the type of car you choose. You will also be required to pay a $2,000 security deposit, which will be fully refunded when you return the car.
*Test-own fee is non-refundable.
There are no additional or hidden costs. However, you will need to cover your own fuel, parking, and/or EV charging expenses during the test-own period.
Yes, there is a $2,000 excess for third-party claims and a $2,000 excess for own-damage claims, so you’ll only have to pay the excess in the event of a claim.
To be covered, you must be at least 25 years old, have a minimum of 2 years of driving experience, and hold a valid Singapore driving licence. You can name up to two drivers on the policy.
Unfortunately, no. Cross-border travel is not permitted as the insurance coverage for all test-own cars is limited to Singapore only.
If you love the car and decide to buy it after 7 days or at any time during the test-own period, simply notify your Carro Sales Consultant. Your test-own fee will be used as part of the downpayment on your purchase. Your security deposit will be refunded within 10 business days after we inspect the car and resolve any outstanding fines.
If the car isn’t the right fit for you, simply drive over to our showroom and return the car on schedule. We’ll refund your security deposit within 10 business days after we inspect the car and resolve any outstanding fines.
Yes, you can extend your test-own period for another 7 days with an additional fee. To request an extension, simply notify your Carro Sales Consultant at least 3 business days before your test-own period ends.
